The fundamental core of Sean’s platform resides in the principles and spirit of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution; that a government which governs least governs best. Government growth & spending, Taxes & economic development, Military/Veteran’s affairs, and Education are his key items of interest.
Sean has been a boots-on-the-ground public servant since graduating from The Citadel in 1990. He was a former police supervisor for the City of Charleston, and a US Air Force Medical Service Military Officer/Veteran of the Global War on Terrorism. Sean earned his MBA from The Citadel in 1998 and earned his certification as a Healthcare Administrator from the American Academy of Medical Administrators in 2007. He is CEO of a consulting firm with specialties in healthcare, emergency management and counter-terrorism. Beginning in the Fall semester, 2011, he will be adjunct professor of Emergency Management at The Citadel.
· LIMITED GOVERNMENT: Means that the State should stay out of the way in order to create jobs and allow each citizen the freedom to choose their own destiny. State sovereignty is crucial to limiting Washington, D.C. as well.
· MILITARY & VETERAN’S AFFAIRS: Means no state income tax on retiree pay and taking care of our veterans as they deserve to be by providing them a better system of state benefits & business incentives.
· EDUCATION: means allowing communities to decide what system of education works best for them; the government should promote innovation and creativity, not hinder it.
· “It's OUR American dream, not the government's.” |
